International Agent

Our international agent, Ruth Marlene Friesen, came into the life of Revival Time Ministry about 2005, when we lost the site put together for us by a travelling youth from the USA. When it disappeared, Ruth had just begun to correspond wtih Pastor Isaac regarding a profile on Generosity-Alive.org and she offered to quickly rebuild the site for us.

Ocassional additions to the site brought Pastor Isaac and Ruth into a gradual friendship with mutual respect, but the site didn't accomplish much. In 2010 Pastor Isaac asked her to put profiles of some girls needing sponsors for their further education on the site, and Ruth suggested that she update the whole site with a new look and with new features that she had been learning on her own business sites.

Difficulties in receiving donations by PayPal in Uganda and wanting to raise funds abroad, Pastor Isaac asked Ruth to consider a role as an International agent, with authority to do fund-raising via the website, and otherwise, and to forward the funds in a more convenient way. In turn, Ruth agreed to trust the Lord to cover her costs for this extra work.

We'll let Ruth introduce herself to you.

Hi, I'm Ruth Friesen, in Canada

For those who want to know a little more, I'll give you a bit of a self-portrait, so you can know who you are dealing with on this site.

I live in and work from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

I sincerely hope that you are able to get to know Revival Time Ministry well through this site, and see that it is a valuable and worthy work that needs your friendship and support. May you sense that you can trust me to handle well any gifts that you may want to share with RTM.

God seems to have prepared me for this role all my life, by giving me creative interests and a passion for missions very early in my life. Even the skills I have picked up over the years all seem to mesh together well now for the kind of work I do, not only for this site, but also several other missions and ministries that I help.

I received Christ as my personal Saviour, when a young girl, about age nine. Already back then, I had a desire to be a missionary, and was convicted that I needed to receive Christ myself before I could help save others. I made that deliberate decision in a prayer after a gospel crusade meeting that ended in a severe thunderstorm.

As I grew older I was always involved in church work. I began to teach Sunday School as a teenager, and later worked as a leader in Pioneer Girls, and then AWANA, and also directed Vacation Bible Schools. I enjoyed working with children, and had the joy of leading some children to faith in Christ, but I found that I also liked the administrative work behind the scenes.

In 1983 I moved back home to the little town of Hague, to care for my aged parents. Gradually I did less childrens' ministry work, and had more long, deeper prayer times, and I wrote for publication. After my sickly mother died in 1997, it was just Dad and me, and although he needed me there, he did not need so much nursing type of care, so I was able to get a computer and go on the internet. I was hoping to learn how to publish my book. But I learned many other things too, including website building, and publishing online. These skills have become my main means of ministry now in my senior years. Especially since Dad died in 2007 at the age of 91, and I am on my own again.

My learning curve has been steep and slow as I've worked on a shoestring budget - a shoestring too short to tie most of the time.

However, I find myself grateful for my singleness as I can devote myself fully to serving the Lord by helping a number of missions. I am a missionary at WesternTractMission.org here in the city. (They have been very good to me!). Then I have several clients, some of which cannot pay me - so I have to trust the Lord to make it up to me from other sources;

www.recursos-evangelicos.org ministers in Spanish and English to Latin American pastors and church leaders.
PMC-Ministries.com in Tanzania.
Manna-Publications.org.uk and MannaPublications.org provide Bible Commentaries in Easy English to poor Christians in third-world countries, and of course, this site you are on right now, Revival-Time-Ministry.info is in Uganda.

I don't mind if you want to check out my business sites too. [smile] I trust they will allow me to be a generous giver one day as well!
www.aloe-vera-and-handy-herbs.com
www.online-shopping-guides.com
Ruthes-SecretRoses.com about my novel and Christian mentoring.
Generosity-Alive.org - where I share the lessons God is teaching me about Giving. (That is getting a make-over too!)
