Sin
15th August 2015 Radio Message by Pastor Isaac Peter Oyako
Moses and David are among the greatest men in the Bible. Each was called for a specific task to accomplish. God’s Grace, power and authority was manifest in each of them and was fully recognizable by other people around them.
David: People around David testified that God was with Him, besides God Himself testify that David was” a man after His Heart”.
1Samuel 16:18 “Then one of the young men said, “Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a mighty man of valor, a warrior, one prudent in speech, and a handsome man; and the LORD is with him.”
Moses: God testified that His servant Moses and He had a special relationship, and the man Moses was the most humble on earth.
Numbers 12:6-8 , “He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, shall make Myself known to him in a vision. I shall speak with him in a dream.“
These two can be taken as examples of men of God who fell short of God’s standard at one point in their lives. These can be representative of believers today who may at one point fail God due to human weakness. It is very important to know what compelled them to fail and what the reaction of God was. God does not change; He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
What are the chief factors that led to the failure of these people?
Careful analysis of these failures is a starting point in understanding human weakness and the appropriate response.
