Nawanyago is a village in Kamuli district, some 50 Kms (1 hour) from Jinja town. The church has grown to about 200 mature people, and plus children the total number may go up to 500 people in a Sunday service.

Miracle Center Church in Kamuli district

Just as the name suggests, the church is heavily affiliated to the international Evangelist, Pastor Robert Kayanja in Kampala. It is a radical church operating in miracles. Their greatest strength is in evangelism: Several branch churches were formed as a result of consistent evangelism. However, the church seriously needs doctrinal instruction and teaching on balanced Christianity.

The church is usually skeptical about inviting teachers who are not miracle performers. Pastor Isaac Peter Oyako, Pentecostal himself, has made inroads into miracle centre churches. This happened by the book he wrote, "The Discipleship Teaching Manual."

Esther and Sylvia leading in worship

The attendance was at 150 people in average throughout the seminar. The seminar was a general church seminar. Pastor tackled key topics which greatly benefited the attendees. The people were greatly blessed with the teaching, as a majority of people confessed being freed from "Heart Issues" such as bitterness, unforgiveness, and infatuations among others. One of the seminar participant and senior member of the church was greatly challenged. He requested for a special seminar of Christian teachers who teach children between 13 and 20 be held.

This seminar, if held, could provide teachers with skills to be effective witness and to impart Christian values along with core teaching subjects. This was immediately granted, and there will be a special workshop for three days for teachers of secondary and High Schools from 22nd to 25th August 2011.
