News - March and July 2012

News Update July 2012

Again it is time to share with the beloved friends and prayer partners the good news about what God did, setbacks and future plans. These are meant to encourage and strengthen all as we press on to capture more ground for our Lord Jesus Christ.

It was from July this year when I begun to realize some of the fulfillment of a vision I saw on12th March 2011.

Extract from my Journal:

I saw these Vision at 5:00 am while seated on a stool inside my un-roofed Garage. It was not a dream; I was alert with all senses awake.

Date: 12th March 2011:

I saw the Lord seated on the right hand side. I went to Him being under heavy weights of four natural stones estimated at about 30 Kilograms each: I held one with both hands tight on my chest and stooping over, one was on was on my back. And two were attached to each of my thighs making me walk slowly with great difficulty. The Lord rose from His seat with a pair of scissors in his hand. He snapped the string which held all the four weights and the stones fell down and rolled away.

The Lord then asked me, "My son why are you carrying these?"

"Lord, I really do not know how I got these weights" I answered.

These weights are meant to delay you and thwart your progress, now come and I show you," said the Lord.

I saw below as we were on the hill, resembling Mt Olivet, a poorly lit town with fairly darkish streets with people carrying weights of different sizes, shapes and materials. "See I have given you the task. Go and relieve those people off their unnecessary burdens", said the Lord to me. I asked, "But the Lord, how? Suppose they refuse my help?"

"How did I remove yours?" The Lord answered with a question.

By cutting the string and the stones fell down," I answered.

Yes go and do the same; I will be with you cutting those weights. But the weight giver won't be pleased; he will try to destroy you, but he will not be allowed to destroy you. I will defend you. Do not fear, my son, am I not you God of all sufficiency? Is there anything too difficult for me? I will do it through you," The Lord replied.

Lord what do these stones mean?" I asked.

"The one on the chest is the family needs (education of your children), and the one on the back is the unfinished construction of your home. The ones on the sides are fear of making mistakes and getting out of my will. Please rise up and go."

"Lord, but where do I go now?" I asked.

"Go to Kayunga where my name has suffered great shame. Tell them what I will tell you I will be with you."

At that time I was in great difficulty both financially and emotionally. My wife had just had a bad accident and we were greatly struggling financially. My prayer at that time was, "Lord, please, makes me be a perfect man, reflecting your glory and being a channel through which you bless others. Let your burden be upon my shoulders too." The Vision above came on the last day of a protracted struggle in prayer with fasting.

Pastor Isaac Oyako dressed in Anglican robe to preach

Let us fulfill all righteousness: [Pastor Isaac dressed as Anglican Priest Preaching in Anglican church in Lwero (50 kms North of Kampala). 214 people received Jesus as Lord on 29th July 2012].

From July this year, I realized that I had moved on to a higher anointing with many doors opening even from churches which were considered conservative to my Pentecostal background. Last month included an Anglican pastor from Karamojong among my mentees.

My little office in Jinja is kept busy with counselees coming from distant places, including Kampala. In July alone, I handled successfully 8 crucial cases with help of the Holy Spirit. These cases included critical cases related to family issues, financial bankruptcy and addiction. The biggest case was in Bujumbura in Burundi, where the church was torn with wrangles. I headed a team that helped to quench the fire. Yesterday, I got a very encouraging email from Burundi, of the sustained peace and good relations between two brothers whom the devil had turned to be arch enemies.

A____ and I have been sensitizing church leaders against the secret plans of Muslims against Africa. I led a Muslim Sheik to Christ in 2005. He has a solid biblical training and has turned out to be useful in this case.

The number of the girl children we are supporting has increased. We now have 9 girls attending university and 6 attending Secondary education through girl-child sponsorship scheme. This number is likely going up even before the end of the year. We have a total of 26 still in our waiting list.

At a personal level too, we are experiencing a total break-through. We now have electricity after suffering from darkness for nearly two years. Though we could not raise $20,000 CAD for our son Cyrus Oyako to study Aircraft Engineering in Canada (Carleton University in Canada), he has admission to Makerere University studying Software Engineering in 2011/2012 academic year.

Prayer Requests:

(i) The Vision above, God was telling me to move to Kayunga. The team is moving to plant a church in Kayunga town next week. Kayunga is one hour drive from Jinja and it is probably the headquarters of occult worship in Uganda. Stories about human sacrifice and eating of the dead people are common in this place. Plans are finalized to open a church under Faith Mission of Uganda in Kayunga town. Pastor Siraj, a devoted convert from Islam and His wife are moving in to receive our evangelistic team. This mission will be supported by Revival Time Ministry full time till Faith Mission is in position to take over. Pray for Pastor Siraj ,his wife and their children. Also pray for the work there.

A Sunday service at Bukanira Church

A Sunday service at Bukanira church. A church in the middle of Muslims

Revival Time Ministry is helping in Building a church in Butakanira Village in Iganga. This village has over 80% Muslims. A pastor from Kampala felt specially called to establish a church in this village. The fellowship is vibrant. RTM has already sponsored the Pastor of that church to study Theology at Baptist Seminary in Jinja. He will be done in three years with Advanced Diploma in Bible and Theology. We need USD 25,000 or GBP 18,000) to be able to put up a decent church building in this Muslim-infested community.

(ii) Pray for our son Cyrus to be able to find Tuition to study at University this academic year. We need up to USD 1,500 a year for three years. Along with that, we still have 11 girls with admission to University this year, but have no way out to pay their fees.

(iii) I need a visa to Switzerland. It is too hard to obtain a visa. There are two many demands. So pray for me. Also pray that God provides for our trip to Mwanza,in Tanzania and Kenya in September and October respectively. We are sensitizing church leaders against the threat of Islam.

(iv) And finally, we are still praying for God's help to be able to complete our house. We need to plaster the rooms and put internal doors plus a perimeter wall for protection.

For more specific interest, contact me for further details. There are more other details I am un able to include here.

Thank you very much for supporting us.
