Fund-raising Letter 2013

Dear Friends, Warm greetings and Happy New Year 2013!

We are requesting your prayers, and if possible - a contribution towards renovation of our property in Soroti.

As you have been following from our News updates that the Lord has strongly placed in our hearts to help equip the church through trainings. We have to transverse this nation from East to West and South to North holding seminars with church leadership of various capacities.

But this year, we want to do it in a different way, and in less stressful and hectic way - just bringing select leaders to one place and do the teaching. By doing this , we will be able to give specific curriculum and focus.

We have our own property (Revival Time Ministry Property) just 5 kms from Soroti town Center . We purchased this property in 1997 and put up temporary houses with a capacity of 30 people. We used it as a Discipleship training base for 10 years and switched to outreach programs until now.

However, we feel we need to switch back to have a central place where web have the training base for carefully selected leaders (Pastors, evangelists, women and youth leaders). In order to make this possible we need to renovate the place and add capacity from 30 people to 50 people.

Our activity will include the following:
Renovation, and work to increase our capacity
(i) Putting in new grass which can only be possible during dry season (between January to March 2013). Replacement of grass was done 11 years ago
(ii) Plastering the walls and redoing the floors of the 15 huts
(iii) Reinforcing the perimeter fence with chain link
(iv) Teaching Hall
(v) Solar and water tanks
(vi) Additional constructions
(vii) Renovation of Pit latrines and bath rooms

All these are estimated to cost USD 16,000. The first USD 4000 is needed urgently to catch up with grass before it is burnt off. I am in Soroti as I write this letter.

Another P.S. We are greated disappointed. Support has not continued for six of the girls by the end of this week. So they must drop out of university studies for lack of funds. If you would like to quickly contact us we can happily pay their fees and send them back to their studies again.
