February 2012 News Update

I turned 50 on January 24th 2012. I wasn't even home to celebrate. My daughter Liz sent me an sms message on my phone to remind of the day, and to inform that I am now an old man.

Listening in prayer to God's directions for ministry

February is usually the hottest and the dustiest month of the year. This year is no exception. In spite of the heat, it was the busiest month for me. It started with the passion to hear from the Lord. To me, the bottom line in ministry is to hear what the Lord is saying. There are many, many good things one can do in the name of the Lord.

counselling in the garden

While in the prayer garden, I had an opportunity to minister individually to one of the most gifted young women in Uganda. At 25, she is pursuing a doctorate in South Africa. While in Uganda, she was the best in the Law School in Makere University. She obtained EU scholarship to do Masters in Human Rights Law in Pretoria where she again emerged the best student. She had deep spiritual struggles which needed Christian counseling.

teaching a YWAM discipleship class

I very much believe in discipleship. Many of the problems that exist in churches and Christian communities could have been avoided if leaders and Christians had truly considered to be disciples of Jesus Christ.

Every year I have a very interesting week of teaching in discipleship school in YWAM. The Students come from various cultures of the world. A typical class may have Africans, Asians, and Europeans. Americans

In Uganda, we have the best opportunities to preach the gospel in both public and private schools and colleges. I do not know long this door will remain open. This year Revival Time Ministry is focusing on ministry in secondary schools: We strengthen the leadership capacity of Christian student leaders, provide personal evangelism skills to Christian students and encourage born again Christian teachers in secondary schools and colleges.

Prayer Requests:

Pray that we get resources and partners to support this school ministry. Whereas, we have the right substance and skill, we are short of financial resources to cover 25 schools in our target this year.

This is a Special Prayer Request: Our son, Cyrus, is very much interested in being either a civilian pilot or Aircraft Engineer. He sat for Cambridge Examination A levels last year and passed Mathematics, Physics and Economics. We urgently need USD 1,590 to get his Cambridge certificate so as join a pilot school in Nairobi or any where. We could not raise the tuition fees and his final results were detained. He has made several contacts with Christian Aviation ministries such as MAFand others that serve the jungles of South America to sponsor him in Moody Bible Institute in USA so that after completion, he works with them. This has not been successful. Any one having an idea or advice please help us. Or if you know any one we may contact.

We also need school fees for our children. Please, pray with us in this area. School fees is our biggest challenge.
