Conference Center Facilities

Revival Time Ministry (RTM) has a three-year Project Plan to renovate and refurbish a property it owns near Soroti, to be a retreat and conference center facility. RTM will use it for leaders and pastors'conferences, but is making it available to be rented by other groups, when RTM is not using the facilities themselves.

This is a compound with grass-thatched roof huts. Each has clean, modern beds and amenities, but rather than grand and expensive settings, this is a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is a place to focus on things that matter, such as prayer, and good teaching, training seminars, and workshops.

Location of this Conference Center

This three acre property is is just 4 kilometers from the center of Soroti town in North Eastern Uganda. The entrance to the conference grounds is only 600 meters from the Soroti-Mbale highway.

Normally, this area is thought of as quite hot with a usual temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, or ranging from 24 to 32 degrees. However, the trees planted on the property when RTM first bought it, have grown and turned this into a shaded and cooler oasis in the heat of this lowland place.

Ambience

Think of a cool, noiseless place to stroll around, or sit in a shady place, or meeting room. The Conference center has room for 42 participants to enjoy one another's company. The cottages have double deck beds. Running water and plumbing is being piped into the conference center. Five more self-contained cottages will be added near the end of the year, when the right grasses are mature.

Appropriate Uses

This RTM retreat and conference center is suitable to be used for training seminars for groupls such as church leaders, literacy teachers, and micro-credit beneficiaries.
